India’s Installed Solar Capacity Reaches 59.302 GW as on 31.8.2022

India has reached 59.302 GW of Solar PV Installation by the end of 31st August 2022. India had an initial target of 20 GW capacity for 2022, which was achieved four years ahead of schedule. In 2015 the target was raised to 100 GW of solar capacity (including 40 GW from rooftop solar) by 2022, targeting an investment of US$100 billion. India has established nearly 42 solar parks to make land available to the promoters of solar plants. The MNRE had stated that a further 36.03 GW (as of January 31, 2021) of solar projects are under various stages of implementation and 23.87 GW are in the tendering process.

JREDA Tenders for 2 MW Canal-Top Solar Plant in Jharkhand

Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) invites interested parties to participate in this “Tender” for bidding and selection process for the appointment of Contractor for “Design, Engineering, Procurement & Supply, Construction, Commissioning and Comprehensive Operation and Maintenance for Ten (10) years of 2 MW Grid Connected Canal-Top Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant using PV technology at Sikdiri Canal, Village- Sikidiri, Ranchi in the State of Jharkhand”. Estimated Cost of the project is Rs.19.46 Crores. Time of project completion is 06 (Six) Months. Date & time of Pre-bid meeting 19.09.2022 (Monday) at 1.00 P.M. Last date & time for receipt of online bids is 06.10.2022 (Thursday) upto 05:00 PM and Technical Bid Opening Date is 10.10.2022 is (Monday) at 3.00 P.M.

NHDC Invites EPC Tender for 8 MW of Solar Projects in Madhya Pradesh

Online Bids are invited for and on behalf of NHDC Ltd through Domestic Competitive Bidding with e-Reverse Auction (e-RA) in Single Stage-Two Part Bidding basis PartI:-Technical-Bid and Part-II:-Financial Bid) from eligible bidders. Scope of the project will be Design, Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) Contract for development of 8 MW, Ground Mounted Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) Plant at Sanchi, Dist. Raisen (MP). The scope of work will include evacuation arrangement up to DISCOM substation along with Five Years Comprehensive Operation & Maintenance of plant. The tender is issued under KUSUM-C as per RFP invited by Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (MPUVNL). The last date of submission of online bids is 11.10.2022 (4:00 PM).

MNRE Starts Part Commissioning Of ISTS-Connected Solar Power Projects In Lots

Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) starts part commissioning of ISTS-connected solar power projects in lots which are not less than 10 MW. The request has been examined and it has been decided that in order to facilitate expeditious commissioning of solar PV power projects and in line with similar facilitation already provided to wind power projects under all SEC tranches, notwithstanding the provisions of the Guidelines for Tariff Based Competitive Bidding Process for Procurement of Power from Grid Connected Solar PV Power Projects’ ITS connected solar PV power projects bid out as per the Guidelines for Tariff Based Competitive Bidding Process for Procurement of Power from Grid Connected Solar PV Power Proiects’ may be allowed to part-commission in steps of 10 MW or more. This special dispensation will be applicable till 31.03.2023. This issues with the approval of the Hon’ble Minister (Power & NRE).

Karnataka Inks MoUs Worth Rs 1.3 Lakh Crore in Renewable Energy Space: CM

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said the State has signed memoranda of understanding worth Rs 1.3 lakh crore in the renewable energy space and soon work will start in the area of hydrogen fuel. The Chief Minister said his government wants to set up industries all along the Karnataka stretch of the Mumbai-Chennai corridor and renewable energy all along the seashore. “We are doing extensive work in the field of renewable energy. We will soon start producing hydrogen fuel. We have signed Rs 1.3 lakh crore worth MoUs in renewable energy,” Bommai said. “There will be production of biofuel, solar, and hydrogen. We are going to produce ammonia from sea (water). It’s an essential part of our agenda,” the Chief Minister said.

India’s Debut Sovereign Green Bond To Lower Its Financing Costs

India plans to issue its first sovereign bond green bond in the coming months at significantly lower borrowing costs. The government has developed a framework to sell the debt in line with widely-used principles from the International Capital Market Association. Sources familiar with the situation claim that officials want a substantial “greenium”, or the premium paid by investors for bonds that support environmental projects. The government, they claimed, declined to identify themselves because the discussions are confidential. It has set up a structure to sell debt according to generally accepted guidelines of the International Capital Market Association. They also have contact with the World Bank regarding best practices.

TSREDCO Invites Bids To Install Rooftop Solar Systems at 1521 Govt Schools in Telangana

Scope of work is Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of 2 kW /3kW/ 4 kW to 10 kW On-Grid Solar PV power Plants with Normal/ High Rise structure and solar Fencing & Insurance under Net metering with 5 years CMC at 1521 No’s Govt. Schools across the Telangana state. Bid Submission Closing Date & Time is 17.09.2022, 3.00 PM. Tender Document Fee is Rs.29,500/-. Bid security deposit amount is Rs. 20,00,000/- or exemption letter from NSIC/ MSME certificate must be valid for 04 months from the date of bid opening.
