According to Israel’s energy ministry, the country plan’s to encourage renewable energy in the Bedouin communities.
The plan has a budget of 15 million shekels to improve energy facilities in the communities through the promotion of renewable energies, energy savings, and improvement of the electricity infrastructure.
According to the ministry, it found significant potential in solar energy production, storage, and efficiency in Bedouin settlements located in Israel’s southern Negev Desert.
