How has this year been at SOFARSOLAR? Any key developments?

We have had a lot of milestones this year, both globally and regionally. As a globally leading supplier of solar PV and energy storage solutions, SOFARSOLAR is committed to technical innovation, one of the drivers of our rapid growth. We now joined the top 5 global hybrid inverter suppliers in 2021, with a global market share of over 7%, according to Wood Mackenzie’s report “Global solar PV inverter and module-level power electronics (MLPE) market share 2022”.

Another highlight is that we are now one step closer to finishing our new manufacturing base in Huizhou. This new base enables a production capacity expansion of 1 million inverters, further strengthening SOFARSOLAR’s production structure and capabilities.

As the world’s fastest-growing solar energy brand, SOFARSOLAR’s compound annual growth rate reached 86% in 2019–2021. Sales continued to grow at a high speed in the first half of 2022 and we are expecting this to continue in the second half of the year.

What is the focus on R&D and technology innovation at SOFARSOLAR?

In April 2022, we launched the SOFAR PowerAll, an all-in-one residential energy storage system that combines a hybrid inverter and lithium-ion batteries. The system adopts a fully modular and stacked design, enabling flexible configuration and phased expansion, which increases return on investment.

What are some key highlights of your inverters? And their distinguishing features?

SOFARSOLAR has consistently strengthened its R&D capabilities throughout the year, as we strive to improve our products. The latest SOFAR 80 kW inverter is equipped with 6 MPP trackers with up to 20 A MPPT current per string, which brings a significant performance gain. Its compact and lightweight design of only 50 kg enables a user-friendly installation and commissioning process.

As for high power string inverters, our 255 kW inverter for 1,500 V applications have 12 MPPTs and maximum efficiency of 99.02%. With an increased DC current capability, the inverter supports the latest solar panel specifications and eliminates the need for PV fuses. These features make the SOFAR 255 kW the perfect match for utility-scale projects and ensure a high return on investment for stakeholders.

What can we look forward to from SOFARSOLAR in the coming year?

We are preparing the launch of the 320HX inverter, which comes with an integrated PV inverter and BESS, and supports a DC-coupled BESS system. We are also focusing on the R&D of utility energy storage systems, and the related products will be available soon.

Anything else you would like our readers to know?

This year SOFARSOLAR has strengthened its organization of the local team in India, stablishing four major sales regions in the north, west, south & east of India. We also set up a local pre-sales technical support team and further expanded the after-sales service team, which means we can provide more local support in regions such as Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Noida and Punjab. We will further improve our local service capabilities according to the business development and customer requirements, and continue to appoint new authorized service partners in India. By the end of September this year, we will celebrate achieving a 1.8 GW shipment record for the Indian market during the REI exhibition. We also want to thank our Indian customers for their support and trust, so we are organizing a series of customer appreciation events in Q4. This is a great opportunity for us to further connect with our Indian partners and customers and discuss future cooperation and opportunities.
