Private Solar Energy Installations In Israel Rose By 18% In 2022

An industry executive stated that there has been an 18% increase in solar energy systems producing electricity in private homes since 2022. This is due to the 11% increase in electricity prices in Israel.

Nir Peleg (CEO of Enerpoint) stated that his company has installed approximately 4,500 systems in the private sector this year.

Installing such a system costs about NIS 80,000. The system will pay for itself in seven years if the customer gets an average annual return of 14%.

A government decision states that Israel’s total electricity consumption should be approximately 20% by 2025 and 30% by 2030.
