Asia Clean Capital Vietnam partners with Universal Alloy Corporation Vietnam, a company of Montana Aerospace, to power its Vietnam manufacturing base with green electricity and achieves its net-zero ambition.
This 15-year power purchase agreement was signed at Danang Hi-Tech Park by UACV. ACC Vietnam will provide UACV with a completely clean energy solution powered with a 4.3MWp rooftop PV system.
The highest safety standards are met in the region, which is often hit by severe storms and typhoons every year. The system, which has 7,172 modules, will produce 5,906MWh annually and prevent 4,800 tons CO 2 each year, helping UACV offset 27% of its annual power consumption.
Truong Hoang Nguyen, general director of UACV stated, “At Universal Alloy Corporation Vietnam, we have a vision of achieving net-zero emissions by 2035. Installing the rooftop solar PV system is one of the first major steps that we are implementing in Vietnam to realize this vision. We want to operate with zero CO2 generation.”
“Universal Alloy Corporation is recycling 98 percent of our main raw material (aluminium). These actions prove our aspiration to become a leading green company in terms of ESG adoption. I strongly believe that with the skills of our partners, the dedication of more than 800 UACV staff, and the corporate support from Montana Aerospace, we will bring this factory to the next level,” he added.
ACCV CEO Michael Viet Luong said, “As the Danang branch of the world’s leading aerospace component manufacturer and a key FDI project in Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, Universal Alloy Corporation Vietnam sets an example for other progressive enterprises to transition to renewable energy and contributes to the government’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.”
“As a preferred partner for multinational companies, Asia Clean Capital Vietnam is committed to providing clean energy solutions that meet the strict standards of Universal Alloy Corporation Vietnam,” he added.
The CEO of the Danang branch of 365 Energy, Hoi Nguyen stated, “365 Energy has installed close to 200MWp of rooftop solar energy capacity across the country. With our experience, we are committed to providing technical excellence that meets the highest safety requirements from UACV to overcome the typhoon season in the region.”
