ANERT Issues Tender For Installing 1.08 MW Rooftop Solar Systems

In order to construct and commission 1.076 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on 8 public buildings in Thiruvananthapuram, the Agency for New & Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) has issued an invitation for bids.

The project will be sponsored by a Special Purpose Vehicle, Smart City Thiruvananthapuram, established to carry out the Government of India’s Smart City Mission.

The deadline for submitting bids is January 21, 2023, and the day of the bid revealing is January 23.

However, only vendors that have been approved by ANERT for solar power projects can participate in the bidding process.

The winning bidder is required to provide a security deposit equal to 3% of the contract’s value.

Further, for a ten-year warranty period, the selected bidder is obliged to handle project operation and maintenance (O&M).

Within the time frame outlined in the acceptance letter, the winning bidder must execute a tripartite agreement with ANERT and Smart City Thiruvananthapuram.

Within 60 days after signing the contract, the chosen contractor must finish installing systems with capacities between 100 kW and 200 kW, and within 75 days for systems with capacities over 200 kW.

The bidder is required to employ solar modules with a 500 Wp output from companies on the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).

Additionally, throughout the duration of the project, the solar modules must tolerate weather conditions and be resistant to ammonia, salt, and mist.

Further, the solar modules that will be utilized in the project must be covered by a warranty for their peak watt output capacity, which cannot be less than 90% after 10 years and 80% after 25 years.

The firm has to pay an amount equal to 0.5% of the unperformed work for each week of delay, up to a maximum of 10% of the contract price, if the contractor does not complete the work within the allotted period.
