AMANA Construct Delivers Mega Logistic Center For DB Schenker Powered With 100% Renewable Energy

AMANA Construct, a vertical of Group AMANA, has successfully delivered the third phase in the DB Schenker mega logistic center in Dubai. This will be a major distribution hub for the GCC. AMANA has completed the construction of 37,000 square meters of green warehouse space using 100% renewable energy. This brings the total footprint of logistics in Dubai to 84,000 square meters.


AMANA is disrupting the construction industry by using technology and modular construction methods through its subsidiary DuBox. AMANA is a market leader in green logistics centers. AMANA utilized the offsite construction method at DB Schenker logistics center to improve product quality and reduce construction time by 30%.


Joe Labaky, the General Manager for UAE and Emerging Markets of AMANA Contracting, said that he was delighted to announce completion of another landmark project in the UAE, which will increase the country’s competitiveness as a regional hub for logistics. AMANA Contracting delivered the project within budget and on time despite the economic difficulties of the past two years. It was also possible to complete the project with one million man-hours in LTI – which is an incredible achievement.

AMANA’s commitment towards delivering high-quality building practices and clean construction is reflected in its use of existing technologies and tools throughout the DB Schenker logistics center. AMANA’s company DuBox significantly reduced carbon emissions during construction. AMANA was able to reduce wastage and overheads by developing components off-site under factory-controlled conditions. AMANA also used solar panels for the roof and other special materials to reduce emissions.
