For 810 MW of solar projects at Rajasthan’s Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam’s solar park in Bikaner, Coal India (CIL) has floated a tender for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms to submit an expression of interest.
The deadline for bids submissions is February 13, 2023.
The lowest and highest capacities to be quoted must each be 200 MW and 810 MW, respectively.
The project’s whole turnkey EPC solution, including the balance of the system and supply of solar modules, will be covered by the work scope of this project.
Further, for the project’s scope of work, they must offer a preliminary cost estimate that includes a breakdown of the expenses.
The development of the infrastructure from the pooling substation to the grid substation, including the construction of water systems, roads, and evacuation systems, will be the responsibility of the solar power park developer and is not part of the EPC contractor’s scope of work.
Five-year complete operation and maintenance (O&M) services must also be offered by the successful bidders.
In the first year, the delivery point’s minimum capacity utilization factor should be 28%.
To evacuate power, a 400 kV substation will be built close to the solar park by the Rajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam.
The project has to be configured to link to the solar park’s pooling substation using a special cable or line with a 33 kV voltage. A dedicated line must be used by the EPC contractor for the same.
For participating in the tender, the bidders are required to have a strong track record in EPC for utility-scale ground-mounted grid-connected solar power projects in India. They must give specifics about their work experience.
Additionally, bidders are required to present their annual revenue and net worth for the previous 3 fiscal years.
CIL will conduct a bid procedure to choose the EPC-cum-O&M contractor for the project based on the applications received from the applicants.
