Coal India Arm, BCCL, Tenders 2.5 MW Of Rooftop Solar Systems Installation

In order to build and commission 2.48 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems with net metering arrangements at 44 sites in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL), a fully owned subsidiary of Coal India, has issued an invitation for bids. The project is anticipated to cost approximately Rs. 149.72 million.

The deadline for bid submissions is February 22, 2023, and the next day, bids will be opened.

The earnest money deposit amount is Rs. 1.87 million, which must be submitted by bidders. Further, within 21 days of the letter of award’s issuance, the winning bidder is required to provide a sum equal to 3% of the contract’s total value as a performance security.

The chosen bidder will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of this rooftop solar project for 5 years.

For this tender, only Class-I and Class-II local vendors can submit bids.

A supplier or service provider is considered a Class-I local supplier if at least 50% of the products, services, or works they offer for procurement are produced locally. While for Class-II local suppliers, the products, services, or works they offer, the local content is equal to or greater than 20% but less than 50%.

A minimum of 30% of the project’s anticipated cost should have been the average yearly financial turnover of bidders during the previous 3 fiscal years, to be eligible for bidding.

The bidders must have finished one comparable project that cost at least 80% of the project’s estimated cost, 2 similar projects that each cost no less than 50% of the project’s assessed cost, or 3 similar projects that each should cost at least 40% of the project’s budgeted amount

Both, an electrical supervisor’s license and a valid electrical contractor license must be presented by bidders.
