SirajPower, the leading distributed solar energy provider in the GCC region, has successfully commissioned a 2.9MWp solar rooftop project at Al Tajir Glass Industries’ manufacturing facility in Jebel Ali Industrial Area.
The project, now fully operational, is expected to generate 4.6GWh of clean energy annually, offsetting over 2,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions per year, equivalent to nearly 238 million smartphones charged.
This project aligns with the UAE’s focus on implementing long-term sustainable practices, as 2023 has been declared as the Year of Sustainability in the UAE. The initiative is also in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to promote sustainable practices and transition towards a greener economy in the UAE.
