NTPC Green Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has announced the successful commercial operation of the fifth and final part of the 300 MW Nokhra Solar PV Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The 50 MW capacity was declared on commercial operation as of 3rd June 2023, marking the completion of the project.
Previously, the first part capacity of 100 MW commenced commercial operation on 20th December 2022, followed by the second part capacity of 50 MW on 30th December 2022, the third part capacity of 50 MW on 16th February 2023, and the fourth part capacity of 50 MW on 1st April 2023.
The addition of this final 50 MW brings the installed and commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy Limited to 2711 MW, contributing to the overall installed and commercial capacity of NTPC, which now stands at 72,354 MW.
The completion of the Nokhra Solar PV Project reinforces NTPC’s commitment to renewable energy expansion and its significant contribution to the clean energy sector in India.
