NTPC Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC, has initiated the bidding process for the appointment of consultants to evaluate the potential for floating solar power projects in various states and union territories of India. The deadline for queries regarding the project is set for June 22, 2023, while the deadline for the submission of bids, including both Techno-Commercial and Price Bid, is July 4, 2023. Bids will be opened on July 6.
The objective of this study is to assess the feasibility of developing floating solar photovoltaic (PV) plants on reservoirs across the mentioned states and union territories. The scope of work for the consultants includes collecting relevant data, conducting satellite imagery analysis, and performing a preliminary study to determine the suitability of floating solar PV installations. Site visits and meetings with the authorities of the respective states and union territories will also be part of the consultant’s responsibilities. The collection of historical and relevant data is an essential aspect of the study.
NTPC Renewable Energy intends to finance this project internally using its own resources. Bidders are required to submit a Bid Security amounting to INR 5,00,000/- (Indian Rupees Five Lakh only) in the specified format mentioned in the bidding documents. The opening dates for the Techno-Commercial and Price Bids will be announced separately.
