SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India) has recently announced the list of empaneled EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors for the implementation of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on government buildings across various states in India. The projects will be executed under the RESCO (Renewable Energy Service Company) model, with a total capacity of 50 MW.
Out of the allotted capacity, 16.48 MW has been assigned to various contractors. In Zone I, GRE Electronics secured a capacity of 2.5 MW, Shimato Enterprises won 1 MW, and HFM Solar secured 2 MW. All three bidders in Zone I quoted a levelized tariff of ₹5.04/kWh.
Under Zone III, both Oriana Power and Subhash Infraengineers were awarded 3 MW each, quoting a tariff of ₹4.42/kWh.
In Zone IV, Oriana Power secured 2.98 MW, while Alien Energy and Subhash Infraengineers won 1 MW each. The levelized tariff quoted by all three bidders in Zone IV was ₹5.25/kWh.
For projects located in Zones I and III, the scheduled commissioning date will be nine months from the effective date of the PPA (Power Purchase Agreement). Projects located in Zone IV will have a commissioning date of 12 months from the effective date of the PPA.
The allocation of capacities for projects in Zone II is yet to be determined by SECI.
