PVH, a global leader in solar trackers, is excited to announce a significant contract with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for supplying solar trackers to the world’s largest hydrogen plant powered by renewable energy. The plant, located at Oxagon in Saudi Arabia’s NEOM region, will be a 2.97 GWp Solar PV facility. The NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) aims to produce carbon-free hydrogen using only renewable energy sources like solar and wind power. By the end of 2026, the plant plans to generate up to 600 tonnes of carbon-free hydrogen daily. This project is a major step towards realizing Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision for a clean and sustainable energy future.
Larsen & Toubro has been awarded the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for multiple elements of the project, including the PV Solar Plant, Wind Generation Balance Plant, Battery Energy Storage System, Switching Stations, and Overhead Lines required for the Kingdom’s Grid network.
PVH Chairman Ivan Higueras expressed his excitement about the project and PVH’s commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s clean energy goals. All solar trackers for this project will be sourced from PVH’s manufacturing facility in Jeddah, which has a capacity of 8 GWp per year. This facility not only contributes to the local economy but also provides employment opportunities for over 200 individuals. Youssef El Sayed, Managing Director at PVH Middle East, emphasized PVH’s dedication to the Saudi Arabia 2030 vision, local content development, and support for the regional economy and population.
PVH, the world’s third-largest supplier of solar trackers, has a successful track record of deploying over 28 GWp globally and has a market share exceeding 10%. With a strong presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Australia, PVH remains a trusted partner to leading EPCs in the region. The company’s focus on in-house manufacturing has led to an impressive pipeline of 8 GWp.
The NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is a joint venture between ACWA Power, NEOM, and Air Products. Saudi Arabia’s ambitious plan to lead the global transition to clean and sustainable energy aligns perfectly with NEOM’s role as a flagship project in this commitment.
