Power Finance Corporation (PFC), a public-sector undertaking (PSU), has announced the establishment of a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to facilitate the development of independent transmission projects.
The SPV, named ‘Neemrana II Kotputli Transmission Limited,’ will be responsible for executing preparatory activities for the transmission projects identified by PFC. The SPV has been incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of PFC Consulting Limited, which itself is a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation Limited. The primary objective of the SPV is to develop an independent transmission system to evacuate power from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone Phase IV, specifically the Bikaner Complex. This strategic move aims to enhance the transmission infrastructure and support the efficient evacuation of renewable energy in the region.
