Tata Power Tenders for 225 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Supply on Long-Term Basis

Tata Power Company Limited has recently issued a tender for the supply of 225 MW wind-solar hybrid power on a long-term basis. The tender process will be conducted through a competitive bidding process. The procurement of tender documents began on June 26, 2023, and will close on July 31, 2023. The cost of tender documents is set at INR 29,500 for both domestic and international bidders.

To participate in the bidding process, bidders are required to pay a tender-processing fee of INR 3,54,000 to the buyer organization. Additionally, an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 5 lakh per MW is to be submitted as bid security. Bidders have the option to attend a pre-bid meeting scheduled for July 7, 2023 although it is not mandatory.

Queries related to the tender documents must be submitted by the specified date. The deadline for the receipt of bids is July 31, 2023. Bids are to be submitted online through the website mentioned in the tender documents. The tender opening event will take place on August 2, 2023 and will also be conducted online.

Bidders should note that there is an applicable ETS (Electronic Tendering System) Bidding-Fee of INR 15,000, which is non-refundable and to be paid to the service provider of the ETS. The fee does not include Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Tata Power-Distribution will sign long-term agreements with the winning bidders, ensuring the purchase of power generated by their projects for 25 years.

The minimum project size required for intrastate hybrid power projects is 25 MW, with a minimum of 10 MW to be installed at a single location. For interstate projects, the minimum project size is set at 50 MW, and the entire capacity must be interconnected to a single delivery point.
