VinES Energy Solutions Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of Vingroup, and Bach Khoa Investment & Development Of Solar Energy Corporation (SolarBK) have officially signed a strategic agreement aimed at promoting locally manufactured integrated rooftop solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Vietnam.
The collaboration positions SolarBK as the authorized distributor of VinES’ BESS products, focusing on providing integrated solar rooftop and BESS solutions for residential and office segments across the country.
As part of this agreement, SolarBK and VinES have announced the commencement of a pilot project involving the installation of 300 solar and BESS systems. To incentivize early adoption, the first 100 offices and households registering for system installation in 2023 will be offered special benefits. This initiative marks the initial phase of a larger-scale rollout planned for 2024, aligning with Vietnam’s Power Development Plan VIII. The national plan aims to equip at least 50% of office and residential buildings with rooftop solar systems by 2030.
The collaboration between SolarBK and VinES brings to market solar + BESS solutions developed through the synergy of Vietnam’s sole solar panel manufacturer and battery manufacturer. These “Make In Vietnam” products are designed to offer high quality, competitive pricing, and exceptional aftersales services within the country. The introduction of Solar+BESS solutions is expected to play a pivotal role in expediting the clean energy transition and supporting Vietnam’s commitment to climate change programs.
