China’s renowned solar module manufacturer, Seraphim Energy Group, has entered into a solar module supply agreement with Malaysia-based company ERS Energy Group of Companies. Under the agreement, Seraphim will provide high-efficiency solar modules for ERS Group’s 300 MW ground-mounted power station located in Zambales Province, Philippines. The supply of modules is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2023 and conclude by the second quarter of 2024.
The solar modules supplied by Seraphim will primarily consist of 550/555W high-efficiency modules, incorporating multi-busbar cell technology and high-density packaging. These modules are designed to minimize internal losses and the risk of micro cracks, resulting in improved power generation efficiency and reduced Balance of System (BOS) cost.
Having strategically invested in the Philippines since 2016, Seraphim understands the unique requirements and installation conditions of local projects. The company continuously strives to optimize product performance and service levels to meet the specific needs of its customers.
Insan Boy, Vice President of Global Sales of Seraphim, expressed confidence in the collaboration with ERS Group, emphasizing its contribution to achieving sustainable development goals in clean energy. He believes the partnership will positively impact the economy, environment, and social development of the Philippines and local communities.
ERS Group, a prominent engineering, procurement, and construction service provider based in Malaysia, has previously collaborated with Seraphim on successful power station projects. The outstanding component quality and performance exhibited by Seraphim’s products have led to ERS Group’s decision to continue working with the company to foster the development of the solar energy market in the Philippines, according to Jonathan Kan, Managing Director of ERS Group.
Seraphim’s solid track record of technological innovation and research and development capabilities has garnered trust and recognition from customers worldwide. The company has developed multiple series of photovoltaic products and smart solutions tailored to different application scenarios. With over a hundred technology patents, Seraphim’s 20 GW photovoltaic products have been deployed in more than 100 countries and regions across the globe.
