Egypt’s Prime Minister Reviews Progress In Green Hydrogen Production Projects

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli recently presided over a meeting to monitor the progress of green hydrogen production projects in Egypt.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker and Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

The main objective of the meeting was to stay updated on the developments and agreements related to green hydrogen production initiatives.

The government is dedicated to offering incentives and facilitating partnerships with the private sector, particularly in priority areas, as part of its commitment to transitioning towards a green economy.

Recently, a partnership between Orascom Construction PLC and Engie, a French energy company, is exploring the possibility of establishing two solar energy plants to cater to Egypt’s metal industries and aluminum sector.
