GoodWe took center stage at 2023 Philippines Photovoltaic (PV) Technical Roadshow. This event was jointly hosted by industry leaders GoodWe, Jinko Solar and Clenergy, with the aim of exploring the challenges and opportunities within the country’s solar market. Solar industry players from across the Philippines, including installers, distributors, retailers, and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) participants, attended in this roadshow.

Renewable energy in the Philippines has reached a tipping point, and the nation is set to emerge as the top green power producer in Southeast Asian by 2030. Data from Global Energy Monitor (GEM) predicts that the Philippines is on track to add an impressive 17,809 MW of solar capacity and 7,856 MW of wind power.

With its commitment to sustainable development and renewable energy, the country has embarked on a journey to strengthen its position in the region’s renewable energy landscape. During the event, James Hou, APAC Sales Head of GoodWe, shared his expertise in the PV industry. With over 15 years of experience, Mr. Hou provided insights into the global and local PV market trends. He introduced GoodWe’s dedication to the Philippines’ smart energy future and showcased the company’s innovative product portfolio.

Eric Yang, GoodWe’s Senior Solution Engineer, delved into how GoodWe’s solutions for commercial and utility-scale solar systems empower owners to maximize electricity generation, reduce initial investment costs, and streamline operation and maintenance.

At the event, GoodWe showcased its cutting-edge inverters, the HT250kW and LV-SMT, tailored for the unique dynamics of the Philippine market. The HT250kW, a key product in GoodWe’s utility inverter range, offers an extensive list of features designed for maximum return on investment. The series boasts multiple MPPT options, compatibility with bifacial modules, and the integration of intelligent string-level monitoring.

The LV-SMT, a three-phase inverter specially designed for commercial rooftops, holds true for the Philippine low-voltage scenario. The product streamlines initial investment costs by negating the need for a costly transformer. Moreover, it boasts a maximum efficiency up to 98.8%, ensuring robust power generation.
