AmBank Group and Huawei Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance their sustainability initiatives. Under the MoU, both organizations will collaborate to facilitate the adoption of solar energy, green data centers, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and energy storage solutions.
Through this strategic partnership, AmBank will extend financing options and merchant business solutions to Huawei dealers. These dealers will gain access to a comprehensive business deposit current account bundle, along with promotional fixed deposit rates and exclusive credit card terminal rates, as stated in an AmBank statement.
Moreover, Huawei dealers will benefit from a dedicated team of relationship managers from AmBank, providing personalized services and expediting the loan application process.
Customers of these dealers will also enjoy competitive pricing when purchasing select Huawei products, along with the option for a zero per cent easy payment plan spanning up to 36 months.
The signing of the MoU took place concurrently with AmBank’s International ESG Conference, which attracted approximately 500 participants. This conference serves as a testament to AmBank’s commitment to sustainability and its aim to establish responsible banking practices in the region.
Daauk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir, the Group Chief Executive Officer of AmBank, highlighted that the bank recognizes its pivotal role within the financial ecosystem and its contribution to social and economic growth within communities. He emphasized that the commitment extends beyond banking services, encompassing the empowerment of communities for lasting positive change.
