In a significant move towards advancing clean energy generation, CHINT Solar (CHINT) and INTEC Energy Solutions (INTEC) have announced an expanded partnership to provide comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) as well as Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for a new 64 MWp capacity solar project in Hallstavik, Sweden. The esteemed partner in this endeavor is Alight, a leading solar developer and independent power producer.
This project marks a noteworthy milestone for INTEC as it officially commences its solar energy operations in Sweden. A project kickoff meeting held on August 10th at Alight’s headquarters signals the start of operations at full throttle. This venture is aligned with Sweden’s ambitions of a greener future, following the country’s surge in solar energy production in 2022, catapulting it into one of the largest solar markets in the EU.
Upon completion, this ground-mounted solar installation will boast an impressive annual capacity, generating 63 GWh of clean electricity. This substantial energy output can meet the power needs of more than 12,600 households annually while concurrently reducing carbon emissions by an estimated 18,300 tons each year. The project site encompasses a sprawling 71-hectare area, with a total peak power capacity of 64 MWp.
Adrien Joseph, CEO of INTEC Energy Solutions, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Alight, highlighting the commitment to advancing sustainable energy sources and carbon emissions reduction while maintaining a steadfast focus on delivering high-quality customer service.
This collaborative effort between INTEC, CHINT, and Alight underscores their dedication to sustainable energy solutions and their pivotal role in Sweden’s clean energy journey.
