Amplus and Microsoft Join Forces to Transform Renewable Energy Monitoring

Amplus, a prominent clean energy solutions provider in India and a member of the global clean energy company Gentari, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft to enhance and promote Amplus’s innovative Renewable Energy Remote Monitoring Solution. This strategic collaboration aims to revolutionize the monitoring of renewable energy plant performance through the proposed Future Energy Platform, which leverages generative AI.

The partnership between Amplus and Microsoft builds upon their prior agreement for a 100 MW solar power project in Rajasthan, India, signed the previous year. Amplus, known for its history of driving innovation, developed its renewable energy remote monitoring solution in-house over five years ago. This technology is currently in use across Amplus’s nationwide plants, allowing real-time management and performance tracking from virtually anywhere.

Sushil Purohit, CEO of Gentari, highlighted their commitment to investing in the technologies needed to deploy clean energy innovations. He welcomed the collaboration with Microsoft as an opportunity to unlock synergies and further scale their offerings.

The collaboration between Amplus and Microsoft will focus on co-innovating the Future Energy Platform. The platform will also feature Renewable Energy Remote Operations, encompassing intelligent asset management, remote and autonomous operations, field workers, and AI-enabled knowledge advisory.

Microsoft Malaysia’s Managing Director, K Raman, highlighted their commitment to supporting Amplus’s digital transformation and the renewable energy sector using cloud capabilities, Generative AI, and machine learning, driving innovation and resilience within the organization.
