The expansion project, slated for completion in September 2024, is expected to generate 417 megawatt-hours (MWh) of electricity each month, sufficient to power approximately 1,103 four-room HDB flats for a month. This addition to the existing 1MWp solar PV system, established in 2019, will bring the total solar PV capacity at the Power Station to 5MWp, supporting Singapore’s goal to deploy 2 gigawatt-peak (GWp) of solar energy by the year 2030.

In addition to this, Geneco, YTL PowerSeraya’s retail arm, has extended its Power Eco Add-on initiative to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This program allows customers to purchase Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) or carbon credits from Geneco, catering to the increasing demand from businesses aiming to offset their electricity usage emissions or Scope 2 emissions. The first three months of Power Eco Add-on will be free of charge for SMEs opting in between October 23 and December 31.
