The French Relief Organization, in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner, has delivered a solar system to the Civil Status Directorate in Syria’s Quneitra Governorate. The system comprises solar panels with metal bases for installation, electrical panels, circuit breakers, and cables for connection.
Ziyad Abu Saafan, overseeing the project in Quneitra, emphasized that the solar system adheres to top safety standards. Its purpose is to address electricity shortages, ensuring continuous power supply for delivering essential services to residents and visitors.
Abu Saafan further mentioned that Quneitra Governorate is actively working on implementing solar-powered lighting solutions in various public institutions, including health centers and administrative units.
This initiative is part of a broader plan to illuminate all public facilities using alternative energy sources, alongside illuminating several streets within the governorate.
