Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has recently invited proposals for the development of 4.5 MW grid-connected rooftop solar projects on its buildings through a Request for Proposals (RfPs).
The deadline for submitting bids is set for December 11, 2023 and the opening of bids is scheduled for December 13th.
According to the tender rules, bidders must provide an earnest money deposit of Rs 500 per kWp of the stated capacity. Additionally, developers are obligated to present a performance bank guarantee of Rs 1,000 per kW of the assigned capacity before finalizing the power purchase agreement.
The project, functioning within the framework of the renewable energy service company model, extends its reach to numerous states and union territories. These regions encompass Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Kerala, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Sikkim, Tripura, and West Bengal.
BSNL has specified the use of solar modules manufactured domestically, as outlined in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
