Solar And Wind Power Constitute Over 88% Of Total Renewable Installed Capacity By October 2023

In the dynamic energy landscape of India, the adoption of renewable sources, notably solar and wind power, has achieved a significant milestone. As of October 2023, these two pillars of clean energy collectively constitute over 88% of the total installed renewable capacity in the country, representing a substantial leap toward a sustainable and low-carbon future. The total renewable installed capacity has reached 132 GW, with solar contributing 72 GW and wind accounting for over 44 GW.

This surge in solar and wind installations reflects India’s commitment to addressing environmental concerns and the escalating energy demand.
