InfraCorp Collaborates with AfGIIB and Solarge to Build Solar Manufacturing Plant in Nigeria

The Infrastructure Corporation of Nigeria (InfraCorp), a government-backed initiative with a US$15 billion investment focus on infrastructure development, proudly announces a key alliance with the African Green Infrastructure Investment Bank (AfGIIB) and Solarge International BV. This collaboration aims to establish a solar panel manufacturing facility in Nigeria, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for local industrial growth, employment creation, electrification, and economic expansion while supporting Nigeria’s commitment to energy transition and reducing carbon emissions.

The Solar PV Manufacturing Plant signifies a leap in sustainable manufacturing, being one of the world’s initial large-scale facilities for lightweight solar panels with an exceptionally low carbon footprint. This project is pivotal in Nigeria’s pursuit of local sustainable manufacturing, infrastructure development for achieving Net Zero emissions, and transitioning to cleaner energy sources.
