Etihad Energy Services Collaborates with Dubai Police for Sustainable Retrofit and Solar Integration During COP28 Discussions

In a strategic move towards advancing sustainable initiatives, Etihad Energy Services (Etihad ESCO), a subsidiary fully owned by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has proudly unveiled a groundbreaking partnership with Dubai Police. This alliance spans two crucial fronts, encompassing an extensive retrofit initiative and a sweeping solar integration project, aligning closely with the sustainability objectives outlined at COP28.

The comprehensive agreement between the two entities entails solar and building retrofit projects poised to deliver substantial annual energy and water savings. Projections estimate an impressive 63,494 MWh of energy savings and a conservation of 89.76 million gallons of water, signaling a significant stride towards fostering sustainable energy practices and upholding environmental preservation efforts.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the MD & CEO of DEWA, expressed his vision, stating, “Our goal is to bolster sustainability and expedite the shift towards a green economy by pioneering initiatives that contribute to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Collaborating with Dubai Police to enhance energy efficiency and elevate solar energy integration aligns seamlessly with Etihad ESCO’s vision, positioning Dubai’s built environment as a global leader in energy efficiency.”
