Malaysia’s P.A. Resources Berhad Secures RM1.08 Billion Extension With First Solar For PV Module Production

P.A. Resources Berhad, Malaysia’s foremost aluminum extruder company, has proudly announced a significant milestone with its wholly owned subsidiary, P.A. Extrusion (M) Sdn Bhd.

The subsidiary has been granted an extension of a supply agreement from First Solar, Inc., along with First Solar Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and First Solar Vietnam Manufacturing Co. Ltd, to provide essential components for the production of photovoltaic (PV) modules.

The extension of this supply agreement holds a substantial value, amounting to RM1.08 billion, approximately USD 231.90 million, covering the contract period from January 2, 2024, to July 1, 2025.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy, the Group Executive Chairman of P.A. Resources Berhad, remarked, โ€œWe are delighted to announce the fourth extension from First Solar, with a contract value exceeding RM1 billion โ€“ the largest contract awarded to us to date. This underscores the trust that First Solar has in us, rooted in our ability to manufacture products adhering to their stringent standards.”
