Basic Energy And PANELCO I Collaborate On 50MW Solar Power Project In Pangasinan, Philippines

Basic Energy Corp. announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Pangasinan Electric Cooperative I (PANELCO) to undertake studies for its proposed 50-megawatt solar power project in the province.

Basic Energy disclosed that the MOU, formalized on January 30, 2024, focuses on the development of both the solar project and a battery energy storage system. The project will be executed in two phases, with the initial phase consisting of 10 MW and the subsequent phase featuring 40 MW.

According to the company, the MOU represents a collaboration between Basic Energy Corp. and PANELCO I to conduct a distribution impact study (DIS) and distribution asset study (DAS) on PANELCO I’s distribution facilities. These studies are crucial for optimizing distribution networks and improving the reliability of PANELCO I’s infrastructure.
