Shehrazad Fateeh, the Director of Planning and International Cooperation in Deir ez-Zor Education revealed that a study has been conducted for these schools, with eight schools already equipped with solar energy systems in two phases.

The remaining 18 schools will have the systems installed in the coming period based on their location and electricity needs. The governorate, in collaboration with international organizations, is facilitating the installation of these systems in alignment with the schools’ energy consumption.

Additionally, there are plans to extend this initiative to schools in the Deir ez-Zor countryside, with the expectation of targeting more schools throughout the year, as outlined in the plan of international donor organizations.
