Energizing Poland’s Future: SENS Partners with SEPV for 1 GW Solar Project Expansion

In a strategic move to diversify Poland’s energy mix, SENS, a prominent renewable energy company, has joined forces with Polish project developer SEPV to embark on a significant solar PV project with a capacity of up to 1 gigawatt (GW). Leveraging the state government’s green light for expanding renewable energies, SENS is set to make substantial contributions to Poland’s energy landscape, currently dominated by coal-fired power generation.

The initial phase of this ambitious venture involves the development of four solar projects, securing a total capacity of 355 megawatts peak (MWp). These projects mark the beginning of a broader 1 GWp pipeline, signaling a substantial commitment to the growth of solar energy in the region. SENS has enlisted the expertise of Christian Schönwiesner from Seraphim Power as a key partner, who not only initiated the collaboration but will also oversee the management of the entire project portfolio.

Emphasizing the importance of a strong connection with the local community, Christian Kleinhans, Global Director of Project Development at SENS, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with SEPV. SENS, with its roots partially embedded in Poland, aims to not only bring technical expertise to the table but also a deep understanding of the local culture and people. With the first 355 MWp already in development, this venture represents a significant stride towards a more sustainable and diverse energy future for Poland.
