The proposal aims to promote fair competition among farmers, address energy costs in irrigation, and alleviate challenges faced by farmers in areas without government irrigation projects.

Hadjiyiannis criticized the Ministry of Interior’s position, emphasizing the need to reduce bureaucracy hindering photovoltaic installations for irrigation purposes.

The proposed law aims to create conditions for farmers to connect to the grid and engage in self-production without excessive administrative hurdles.
