KPI Green Energy Limited has announced the acquisition of new solar power projects totalling 9.40 megawatts (MW) under the Captive Power Producer (CPP) segment.
The projects are divided between KPI Green Energy Limited, which will handle 5 MW, and its wholly owned subsidiary, M/s. KPIG Energia Private Limited, tasked with developing 4.40 MW.
The contracts for these solar power projects have been awarded by four domestic entities: M/s Sustainable Spinning & Commodities Pvt. Ltd., M/s Sharvil Tex Fab, M/s Dharma Fab, and M/s Raghuveer Tex. These awards underscore the growing emphasis on sustainable and renewable energy sources within the domestic sector.
Both KPI Green Energy Limited and KPIG Energia Private Limited are committed to developing these projects in line with the specific terms outlined in their respective contracts. This initiative is classified as a commercial order, highlighting its significance in the company’s portfolio.
Scheduled for completion in the fiscal year 2024-25, these projects will be executed in various tranches, as stipulated in the contracts. The aggregate capacity of 9.40 MW signifies a substantial addition to the company’s renewable energy generation capabilities, marking a crucial step forward in its commitment to sustainable energy solutions within India.
