Prime Minister Unveils Gwalior’s Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport Featuring Jakson Group’s 500kW Solar Carport

In a advancement for India’s aviation and sustainable energy sectors, the Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport in Gwalior was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, marking a notable enhancement in regional connectivity. This development was further underscored by the unveiling of a 500 kW solar carport by Jakson Group, a prominent energy and infrastructure firm based in Noida. The event saw participation from notable dignitaries including Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Aviation Minister Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Chairman of the Airport Authority, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar.

Jakson Group has equipped the airport with its advanced 550 Helia series mono PERC solar modules, which are expected to produce 7,50,000 kWh of power yearly and significantly reduce carbon emissions by 600 tons. These modules are recognized for their quality and align with the “Make in India” campaign, thanks to their ALMM approval.

Gagan Chanana, CEO & Jt. Managing Director of Jakson Distributed Energy Business, emphasized the project’s alignment with the country’s clean energy objectives and its broader impact on improving energy infrastructure nationwide. Jakson Group’s commitment to renewable energy is also evidenced by their recent installation of a 250 kW solar rooftop at Ayodhya’s new International Airport and the expansion of their solar module manufacturing capacity in Noida to 1,200 MW.
