Samaiden Group Berhad Partners with Maxell Tohshin for Sustainable Manufacturing: A 20-Year Solar Power Agreement

Samaiden Group Berhad (Samaiden), a leader in renewable energy (RE) solutions specializing in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and power plants, is pleased to announce a strategic Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Maxell Tohshin (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Maxell Tohshin), a company renowned for its expertise in designing and manufacturing ultra-precision molds and lens mold technologies.

This landmark agreement, spanning 20 years, signifies a significant commitment to sustainable energy utilization in manufacturing, underscoring a shared dedication to environmental stewardship. As per the terms, Samaiden will lead the design and implementation of an advanced solar PV system with a capacity of 1,028.28 kilowatt peak (kWp) at Maxell Tohshin’s facilities. This initiative is poised to make a substantial impact on carbon emissions reduction from manufacturing operations, with an estimated annual avoidance of approximately 974.66 tonnes of carbon emissions (CO2e). This aligns seamlessly with the overarching goals of both companies towards fostering a more eco-friendly industrial landscape.
