Bridge and Roof Company Invites Bids for 2.30 MW Rooftop Solar Project in West Bengal

A Government of India enterprise, Bridge and Roof Company (India), is calling for bids to establish a 2.30 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power project at Khidirpore Dock II in Kolkata, West Bengal.

Bid submission deadline is April 1, 2024, with bid opening scheduled for April 3.

The project scope includes design, manufacturing, procurement and supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the rooftop solar system.

The winning bidder will secure a comprehensive maintenance contract for ten years following a one-year warranty period for the project. The tender’s estimated value is โ‚น16.85 crore. Bidders are responsible for the โ‚น20,000 tender document cost and must provide โ‚น26.85 lakh as earnest money deposit.

Five distinct warehouse terraces will each produce 2.30 MW of electricity from the proposed rooftop solar plant. Ten months will be given to the winning bidder to finish the project.

To qualify for the tender, bidders must have completed similar projects worth โ‚น13.84 crore, or two projects valued at โ‚น10.11 crore each, or three projects worth โ‚น6.74 crore each. Similar projects encompass supply, installation, and commissioning of solar power systems for central government, state government, union territories, autonomous bodies, or the private sector.

Eligible bidders should have an annual financial turnover of at least โ‚น5.06 crore over the last three years, with no more than two years of losses in the past five years. They must also present a bank solvency certificate of โ‚น6.74 crore or more.

Bidders are required to have sufficient engineers on their company roster and possess the necessary plants and machinery through ownership, leasing, or hiring arrangements for project execution.
