During the “Meet Khánh Hòa-Indonesia” event, organized jointly in Nha Trang City by the provincial People’s Committee, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Indonesian Embassy in Việt Nam, Chairman Tuân highlighted Indonesia as Việt Nam’s third-largest trade partner in ASEAN, with Việt Nam reciprocating as Indonesia’s fourth-largest within the group. Notably, Indonesia was Việt Nam’s first diplomatic partner in Southeast Asia, establishing ties in 1955.

Tuân provided insights into Khánh Hòa’s potential and development directions in aquaculture, high-tech agriculture, tourism, and trade. He proposed increased exchanges and stronger ties between the two sides to bolster the Việt Nam-Indonesia relationship.

Ambassador Denny Abdi underscored the expanding friendship between the two nations, with bilateral trade reaching US$13.8 billion last year. To enhance cooperation, he suggested focusing on the digital economy, and tourism, and strengthening collaboration in agriculture and aquaculture.
