In a significant move towards fostering innovation and sustainable development in the energy sector, the National Power Training Institute (NPTI) has joined forces with PTC India Ltd. to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) dedicated to research and development within the energy domain. This strategic partnership aims to enhance the power sector’s capabilities through cutting-edge research, training, and capacity-building initiatives, all aligned with the global sustainable development goals.
The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed on March 28, 2024, at the Ministry of Power’s headquarters in New Delhi. The signing ceremony saw Dr. Tripta Thakur, Director General of NPTI, and Ms. Koel Singhal, Senior Vice President (HR) of PTC India Ltd., representing Dr. Rajib K Mishra, CMD of PTC India Ltd., ink the agreement. The event was also graced by the presence of Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary of the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
Under this MoU, NPTI and PTC India Ltd. will embark on a collaborative journey to drive innovation in the power sector. The CoE will serve as a hub for research, development, and knowledge dissemination, leveraging the strengths and expertise of both organizations to tackle challenges and seize opportunities in the energy landscape.
