NTPC REL Opens Online Bids for 500 MW Solar PV Project’s Balance of System Package in Bhadla, Rajasthan

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) is calling for online bids from eligible participants using a Single Stage Two Envelope approach. This comprises Envelope-I for the Techno-Commercial Bid and Envelope-II for the Price Bid, pertaining to the Balance of System Package (excluding land and transmission system) for a 1x500MW STU Connected Solar PV Project located at Bhadla, Rajasthan.

The scope of work includes Design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of the Solar Photovoltaic plant, excluding the supply of Solar PV modules.

The last date to submit the online bids is May 5, 2024. With the bid opening schedules for the same day.

The cost of bidding document is Rs 22,500, and all bids must include Bid Security amounting to Rs. 10 crores, provided in the form specified within the Bidding Documents.

The Bidder’s average annual turnover should exceed Rs. 128.5 Crore for any 3 financial years within the last 5 financial years as of the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.

The bidder must demonstrate experience in designing, supplying, overseeing erection, and commissioning of Balance of System for Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) grid-connected power plant(s) with a cumulative installed capacity of 40 MWp or more. Among these, at least one plant should have had a capacity of 10 MWp or higher. Or,

The Bidder must have undertaken an industrial project within the last 10 years, either as a developer or as an EPC Contractor, in sectors such as power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining including coal handling plant, or any other process industry.

The project’s value should be Rs. 128.5 Crore or higher, for a single project or single work. Furthermore, the project must have been successfully operational for at least 1 year / 6 months before the date of techno-commercial bid opening.

In addition, the reference plant, which has a capacity of at least 10 MWp, must have been successfully running for at least six months before the techno-commercial bid was opened.
