Huawei Digital Power and REVO Energia Collaborate to Introduce Energy as a Service in Brazil

Huawei Digital Power, the solar energy division of the multinational technology and smart devices company, has partnered with REVO Energia to launch Energy as a Service (EaaS) in the Brazilian market.

The collaboration aims to provide EaaS to low-voltage customers, defined as those with energy bills of up to R $15,000. Individuals or companies subscribing to the service can generate their own energy using Huawei’s technological equipment, installed at their homes, businesses, or rural properties.

Under this model, customers are expected to save up to 20% on their energy bills in the first month. At the end of the contract, typically spanning ten years, the entire installed plant becomes the property of the customer.

Silvio Antunes, Head of Channels at REVO Energia, describes EaaS as an innovative photovoltaic energy solution, leveraging Huawei’s technology, expertise, and quality assurance. He notes that similar services are already prevalent in Europe and the United States, offering significant cost savings to businesses like bakeries, which could save up to R$20,000 annually with an average monthly energy bill of R$8,000.

Rômulo Horta, Channel Director at Huawei Digital Power, emphasizes the potential of the solution to accelerate the energy transition in Brazil, particularly benefiting small and medium-sized enterprises seeking energy efficiency without the hassle of managing energy generation equipment. Horta highlights REVO’s use of advanced inverters with Huawei technology, aiming to collaborate with partners to offer innovative and quality services to customers and increase the adoption of solar energy in Brazil, thereby contributing to environmental sustainability.
