TP Saurya Limited Completes 200 Megawatt Solar Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan

TP Saurya Limited (TPSL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has inaugurated a 200MW solar project situated in Bikaner, Rajasthan, serving Tata Power Trading Company Limited (TPTCL).

Expected to yield an impressive 485 Million Units of energy annually, the project strongly resonates with the Companyโ€™s commitment to bolstering India’s renewable energy capacity. Moreover, the project’s integration into the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) Bus ensures the smooth distribution of clean energy throughout the region. This accomplishment signifies a remarkable milestone in the renewable energy domain, underscoring TPRELโ€™s dedication to sustainable energy solutions. Despite facing numerous challenges, such as extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius, severe winters, sandstorms, and geopolitical obstacles, the project was completed within the stipulated timeframe.

Furthermore, beyond its substantial energy output, this initiative stands poised to deliver a notable impact on environmental sustainability, with an anticipated annual reduction of 3,88,000 tonnes in carbon footprint. Additionally, the project installed approximately 5,23,365 modules. TPREL remains steadfast in its commitment to pioneering innovative renewable energy ventures, eagerly anticipating the continuation of its journey towards a cleaner, greener future for India and beyond. With this addition, TPREL’s total renewables capacity has now reached 9,018 MW (PPA capacity being 7,632 MW), comprising 4,547 MW projects at various stages of implementation, and operational capacity standing at 4,471 MW, inclusive of 3,444 MW solar and 1,027 MW wind.
