TP Saurya Limited Completes 200 MW Solar Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan

TP Saurya Limited (TPSL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has inaugurated a 200 MW solar project situated in Bikaner, Rajasthan, serving Tata Power Trading Company Limited (TPTCL). Expected to yield an impressive 485 million Units of energy annually, the project strongly resonates with the Company’s commitment to bolstering India’s renewable energy capacity.

ReNew Power Surges Past 10 GW Capacity, Adding 1,174 MW of Solar and 768 MW of Wind in Fiscal Year 2024

ReNew Power announced it has added 1.94 GW to its renewable energy (RE) assets for the fiscal year 2024, propelling its total capacity to over 10 GW. Despite selling some assets, the company’s revenue-generating capacity now stands at 9.52 GW. During the year, ReNew installed 1,174 megawatts (MW) of solar and 768 MW of wind energy, marking a significant milestone in India’s wind energy sector by recording one of the highest single-year capacity additions.

Hartek Power has secured a notable EPC contract worth ₹474 Crore, marking a significant achievement in the renewable energy domain. The contract, which highlights Hartek’s dominant stance in the industry, was awarded by a leading global renewable energy independent power producer (IPP). This venture not only showcases Hartek’s comprehensive capabilities spanning the entire project lifecycle but also its pivotal role in the industry’s progress. The project involves the construction of an expansive 300MW ground-mounted solar PV power plant covering 1209 Acres in Rajasthan.

JSW Energy Limited has completed a massive fundraising effort, securing ₹5,000 crore through a Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP). This landmark financial move, aimed at accelerating the company’s growth trajectory, saw the participation of some of the world’s most prominent institutional investors, including the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). The company, a key player in India’s power production arena, announced late Friday that the QIP was oversubscribed by more than 3.2 times, attracting strong interest from renowned global asset managers like GQG, Blackrock, Nomura, Wellington, UBS, and ADIA.

Adani Green Energy Achieves Landmark 10,000 MW Renewable Energy Milestone in India

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has exceeded a milestone of 10,000 MW in its operational portfolio. This achievement signifies the consistent delivery of reliable, affordable, and clean power to the national grid. AGEL’s operational portfolio comprises 7,393 MW of solar, 1,401 MW of wind, and 2,140 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity. This milestone underscores AGEL’s concerted efforts, alongside its development partners, in advancing towards the ambitious goal of 45,000 MW of renewable energy by 2030. With a 10,934 MW operational portfolio, AGEL will provide energy to over 5.8 million homes and prevent approximately 21 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.

In a significant development for Maharashtra’s renewable energy landscape, Juniper Green Energy recently inaugurated the Jalkot Solar Power Project. This milestone adds 105 MW of solar power to the region’s energy grid, marking a pivotal step forward in India’s push towards sustainable energy solutions. New Deadline Set for Green Hydrogen Mission R&D Submissions

In a significant move to promote sustainable energy, the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Government of India, has launched an ambitious Research and Development (R&D) Scheme as part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission. Announced on March 15, 2024, the initiative is poised to revolutionize the green hydrogen sector by enhancing affordability, efficiency, safety, and reliability across its value chain – encompassing production, storage, transportation, and utilization. With a generous budgetary allocation of Rs. 400 crores available until the end of the financial year 2025-26, the scheme is designed to bolster innovation within the green hydrogen industry.
