Andes Solar Secures Contract with CVC Energía for Photovoltaic Project in Peru

Andes Solar, a Chilean renewable energy firm, has announced a significant milestone in its expansion efforts with the signing of a contract with CVC Energía for the construction of its inaugural photovoltaic energy project in Peru.

The project, named Villacurí, will have a capacity of 13 MWp and will be located in the Salas district, within the province of Ica. Construction is slated to commence in the latter half of the current year.

CVC Energía, a Peruvian distribution company boasting three decades of experience in electrical energy distribution, will partner with Andes Solar for the development of this project.

In a recent statement, Andes Solar highlighted its ambitious growth trajectory, aiming to achieve a portfolio of 2.5 GW of renewable projects by the end of the year. The company anticipates adding nearly 300 MW in new developments over the course of this year.

The Villacurí project represents a significant step for Andes Solar in expanding its presence in the Peruvian renewable energy market, further solidifying its commitment to sustainable energy solutions in the region.
