
Under the auspices of the World Future Energy Summit, H.E. Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEIUAE), and H.E. Stefan Wenzel, State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, convened for the 8th High-Level Steering Group Meeting of the Emirati-German Energy and Climate Partnership.
The meeting delineated the focal points of bilateral energy and climate cooperation for 2024, with a keen emphasis on hydrogen, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), renewable energies, climate action, and private sector engagement. Both nations are poised to deepen their collaboration in the energy sector, expediting tangible projects and knowledge dissemination.
H.E. Sharif Al Olama underscored the shared dedication to sustainable development and innovation between the UAE and Germany, highlighting the importance of dialogue and synergy exploration in driving progress.
In acknowledgment of the UAE’s historic COP28 consensus, H.E. Stefan Wenzel praised the bilateral Energy and Climate Partnership as a pivotal platform for translating discourse into action, exchanging expertise, and fulfilling global obligations.
The Emirati-German Climate and Energy Partnership, facilitated by the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEIUAE) and the German Bundesministerium fรผr Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz (BMWK), with support from Guidehouse and #AHKUAE, stands as a testament to the commitment of both nations towards a sustainable and climate-resilient future.
