Neosun Energy, a leading provider of solar energy solutions, has announced the opening of a new regional office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as part of its expansion strategy. The company also disclosed plans to establish additional offices in Saudi Arabia and Oman in the near future.

The move comes as Neosun aims to capitalize on the unique climatic conditions of the MENA region, which offer ideal settings for solar energy production. With solar irradiance ranging from approximately 2,285 kWh/m2 to 7,004 kWh/m2, countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman boast some of the highest solar exposure rates globally.

Neosun Energy specializes in solar installations tailored for remote and off-grid locations, addressing the challenges associated with limited or unreliable conventional electricity access. This capability enables businesses in remote areas to initiate independent operations, independent of the grid.

Ilya Likhov, CEO of Neosun Energy, underscored the significance of the MENA region’s shift towards sustainable energy, citing projections by the International Energy Agency forecasting a substantial addition of 62GW of renewable energy capacity over the next five years. Solar capacity is expected to account for over 85 per cent of this expansion.

Likhov emphasized the cost-effectiveness of solar energy generation, stating that MENA countries can produce the cheapest electricity through solar power. He highlighted the potential for local entrepreneurs to leverage solar energy solutions to enhance business profitability.

Neosun Energy is currently engaged in discussions with potential partners across the MENA region, aiming to collaborate closely with local businesses and commercial enterprises. The company seeks to provide affordable solar energy solutions, including solar plants, innovative energy storage systems, and portable Power Hubs.

Likhov expressed confidence that the establishment of the new Neosun Energy office will facilitate closer engagement with local stakeholders, enabling them to enhance cost efficiency and investment attractiveness through the adoption of solar technologies.
