Jones Power has been chosen by Babcock & Wilcox Solar Energy, Inc. (B&W Solar), to undertake the civil construction work for two 25-megawatt utility-scale solar projects in Western Pennsylvania. Construction began in March 2024 and is slated for completion by the summer of the same year.

Jones Power’s responsibilities include erosion control, clearing, grubbing, constructing entrances, culverts, earthwork, stone access roads, laydown yards, final seeding, and post-civil site upkeep. B&W Solar may retain a Jones Power maintenance crew for ongoing support during pile driving, racking, module installation, electrical work, and commissioning.

“These renewable energy projects will bring clean, net-zero carbon power to the people of Pennsylvania,” said Tony Dorazio, President, B&W Solar. “We’re pleased to have Jones Power as part of the experienced project execution team that will make these projects a reality.”

“We’re excited to take on these challenging projects with B&W Solar,” added Jones Power CEO John Clark. “We have built a strong track record of experience in the Mid-Atlantic region, and we’re excited to be a part of bringing more renewable energy in the form of solar power to Western Pennsylvanians.”
