Apricus Generation, a Florida-based energy company, has announced its acquisition of a controlling interest in Nexus Renewables, a prominent Canadian solar and storage developer and independent power producer (IPP). This marks Apricus Generation’s first strategic acquisition since its launch earlier this year. Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
The acquisition aims to leverage Nexus Renewablesโ established IPP platform and market presence, providing the necessary support and capital to enhance its operations. The collaboration is expected to significantly advance Nexus Renewablesโ project portfolio, which currently exceeds 500 MW.
Apricus Generation CEO, Ravi Thuraisingham, expressed his commitment to the partnership, stating, “With this strategic partnership, we are committed to building the leading developer-focused IPP platform to bring renewable energy to the consumers.”
This move underscores Apricus Generation’s dedication to expanding its footprint in the renewable energy sector and delivering sustainable energy solutions to a broader market.
