In anticipation of Global Wind Day, the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) hosted a pre-event on May 29, 2024, dedicated to exploring the exciting potential of offshore wind in India.
This timely event, titled Offshore: Expanding Wind Frontiers in India, brought together key stakeholders for a dynamic panel discussion on “Charting the Course: Offshore Wind’s Role in India’s Renewable Energy Future.” Industry leaders representing the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), and prominent private companies will share their insights on harnessing India’s vast offshore wind resources.
The event was organised on Wednesday, May 29th, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Park Hyatt Chennai. With India poised to announce offshore wind bidding in June 2024, this pre-event offered a valuable platform for discussing the critical role offshore wind will play in the nation’s clean energy future.
The discussions here will be continued at Windergy India 2024 from 23 – 25 October 2024 at Chennai Trade Centre, the flagship event organised jointly by IWTMA & PDA Ventures.
